In all your ways acknowledge God, and He will guide your paths ... Proverbs 3:6.
I worked so hard, and put my all into something that didn't work. I lost sleep and stayed up late at night to nourish something that yielded no success. I'm frustrated and somewhat irritated because I feel as if I wasted my time; and to make matters worse I have nothing to show for it. I wanted it so bad that I was desperate, so much so that I took uneducated risk hoping that things would eventually work out and they never did. I ignored the negativity by speaking life, and looked past the past with great expectations that God would do a new thing in this season of my life. Yet my life still reflects a broken record.
Some of us have gone the extra mile in relationships that seemed as if they would last forever, but still a situation occurred and it came to an abrupt halt as a result of a sticky situation. Some of us have prayed like never before that God might have his way inside of the academic environment that we might perform better, yet it looks like our midterm grades were at a record low. Some of us have lost sleep listening to friends complain about how hard life is, and yet those same friends mistreat us and take advantage of us. Where is God in all of this?
Nothing ever seems to be going quite right. You always feel as if you're getting the short end of the stick. You're faithful to the ministry, but for some reason, God has not allowed it to grow and you're trying to figure out where you went wrong. You're trying to be nice but your roommate situation is not working out. You're trying to be patient, but your parents don't understand the stress of being a full time student, and how much things have changed. You're trying to make something of yourself, but the financial aid department doesn't seem as if they trying to help. At what point is enough enough? You feel as if you're the puppet and someone is pulling your strings because life is hitting you hard and it's out of your control. It's to the point where you don't know what your next meal will be, and you don't want people in your business but you're afraid to ask for help.
God is success, and as long as you are carrying out the responsibilities that he has set before you, you are successful. It is very important for you to understand that the world will not always validate you with words of Kindness, but scripture tells us that we must,"hold fast to the things which are good," (1 Thessalonians 5:21). When doing the work of The Lord your life is no longer about you, it's all about Christ and that means that you will have to relinquish all of your personal rights over to him. Sometimes your greatest set backs in the natural are subliminally set up for the next move that God is about to make in your life. Everything is not a personal attack to harm you, but it's a movement set in place to teach you to be aware, and to trust God. Some of the situations that you are going through are so tedious because of the sculpting God is allowing to take place on your gifts. Some of the best kept recipes are the dishes in which a lot of fire is required because it's penetrates the dish to cook it in a way that is most pleasing to the taste buds. Might I suggest that the fire of life is purifying you that you might be pleasing in the eye sight of God. That when God delivers you from some friends, that when God delivers your from some situations, you be familiar with the schemes that got you caught up to begin with, and avoid them at all cost next time. Might I suggest that God is humbling you that you might be able to minister to people from a wide variety of backgrounds, and souls still be saved. Scripture tells us, "Commit your work to the Lord and your plans will be established ..." (Proverbs 16:3). God's got this and he knows what it is that he is doing. Your situation will get better, but for know you must appreciate this current situation by using this time diligently to fast, pray, and sit at the masters feet. You're Breakthrough is like a light at the end of the tunnel, the only way that you'll make it is if you never stop heading in that direction.
Let us bow:
