I Ain't Never Scared

Let’s be all the way real. You’re a professional quitter. When things look rough, and get tough you are the first one to say, never mind, may be next time, or guess it just wasn't for me. You’re the first one to give up when a situation is not working in your favor. In fact, it's very easy for you to feel defeated. Fear, is your best friend. You no longer need other people to tell you that you aren't capable because you tell yourself. You don’t need other people to discourage you because you discouraged yourself, and then justify your playing small, by saying that you were, "trying to give other people an opportunity to shine."
The more curve balls life threw at you, the more difficult it became to remain a Holy Ghost team player. Truthfully, it became much easier to simply be a bench warmer.  You've been through too much, had too many sleepless nights, cried yourself to sleep too often, fasted and prayed, and so many other things, not to worship the Lord with everything that is within you.  God has birthed so many gifts and talents on the inside that even your self-restraint can't hide the anointing that God has placed upon your life.
Please understand that you were not built to fit in. Scripture tells us that, "God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7). Your puzzle piece (your life) doesn't fit into the world's frame because your destination is divinely purposed, and predestined for a greater picture than this. Life is too short to waste it away sitting on your gifts, talents, and abilities all because you don't want to be different.
King David in Psalm 23 shares the fact that even in the midst of the valley of our situation we must fear no evil. Then David in Psalm 56:3 instructs us to put our trust in The Lord when we are afraid. A huge part of the problem is the fact that many of us have already decided to allow fear to rule every aspect of our lives. We've submitted ourselves to mediocre dreams and goals because we're afraid of failure. We've resolved to surround ourselves with people who worry about everything, and blow up every situation to be some much more than what it is, just so they won’t have to truly deal with the situation at hand. It's time to take a leap of faith. Scripture tells us that, “Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you,” (Matthew 17:20). There is absolutely nothing too hard for God. Your life has meaning, so mean it. Speak life, rise to the occasion, and trust God. Your faith can open many doors, it's not always about the most qualified or the most highly respected, but it's always about the will of God, and his plan for your life. Your breakthrough is as close as your faith will allow. So, instead of quitting on the manifestation of your God given gifts, just quit being afraid of yourself. Switch your life code from, “I’m so scared” to “I Ain’t Never Scared.”

Let us Bow:

Lord,

We thank you for your grace and mercy. We thank you for the strength to hold on just a little while longer. Father we come before you apologetically to confess that we have tried to hide that which you have given us by not utilizing those gifts, and we ask your forgiveness. We apologize, for you have not given us a spirit of fear. God remove that fearful spirit and replace it with a brave one. Guide us as we work to be all that you've designed us to be. Bless us and keep us in the mighty and matchless name of the Christ we pray, Amen!
